Drunken Philosophies and Rantings

This is a close up of the cephalopod, and as you can see, crystalline calcium carbonate has formed within the chambers. I have looked through all my guides to try and figure out just what this creature is, and yet to find a suitable answer. All the guides show the outside of the creature and not the inside. But from the lens shape of the chambers and the relative age of the rock, my guess is going to be an Actinoceras (Phylum: Mollusca; Class: Cephalopoda; Subclass: Actinocertoidea) This fella' lived in the Middle Ordovician through the Lower Silurian.
