The day that time stood still... *yawn*
Well, it is that two week vacation from school time again. Time to don my work boots, old faded blue jeans, and ragged t-shirt. Time to dust off the ole tool-belt and search for my long gone missing hard hat. That's right folks, it is back to the grindstone. I am back to work for my father in the construction biz. That means time to set the alarm early and try to pull myself out of bed before the moon has even given a second thought to climbing that ladder back down below the horrizon.
Today was not too bad of a job. I was supposed to head on up to Dayton and meet another ceiling man, but I was re-routed on my way there to turn around and go to Kenwood Mall. Once there, I find there is next to nothing for me to do there, and I was afraid that I would be sent packing till tomorrow. But the kind folks found something for me to do, and it was called, "Hey! Go-get-that!" Sadly, it became my nickname for the rest of the day. But for the most part, since there was little for anyone else to do too, we all just stood around the scaffolding. There we were, the four of us, standing around chatting. Or at least they were the ones who were chatting. Discussing everything from the Metallica concert the night before (and all the really young girls in daisy-duke cut-offs--Bleh...) to the Mexican population problem in America. Actually the latter was the "Mecks-i-cun problemo in E'mericano..."Let me tell you, there is nothing in the world like listening to a bunch of red-necks trying to solve the worlds delema's around the preverbial water cooler. But I was just happy enough not to care, 'cause I had the pleasure of doing nothing at the time, and I was making lots of money while doing it.
I yeild to something lighter...
Today was my sisters 10th birthday, and my grandma came over to celebrate. I finally recieved my presents from her, and it was well worth the wait. I recieved a Reds t-shirt, a Reds jersey, $50, and another $30 gift certificate to Best Buy (kinda wish I hadn't used my other yet). So, yay me, and yay for my grandma.
Well, I am done sharing for today, gotta be up in five hours.
Peace out peoples,
