Fell Off the Wagon Already???

If anyone didn't know already, I quit smoking on Sunday...

"and you fell off the wagon already?"

Well, yeah... kinda...
Tonight I went out with Steve to the new bar (don't have work tomorrow), which used to be Brian's (is now Buffalo Wild Wings or something like that), and I did smoke while I drank tonight... I am not ready not to I guess... But in my defense, I only smoked two small all-natural tobacco cigars and they did not contain nicotine or any additives... In a way, on could assume a defeatist role and add the fact that I went out of my way and bought those cigars ahead of time, knowing I would smoke, hoping (maybe) I'd smoke, when I drank tonight. And in doing so premeditated and so on, and so on, until the "one person" could assume that I actually went out to drink tonight just so I could make the excuse to smoke. Look, see, I've got myself into a guilty frenzy over all of this and that must mean it is true. Or not, I really don't give a shit. I don't have to explain myself to anybody, yet here I am... I guess, it's like A.A. and I need you two big quitters to egg me on or something...
Hey, can I join your cool click abs and goob?
I'm a little drunk and this doesn't even make much sense to me...
let's just say that dollar domestic drafts, all day-everyday, isn't such a sweet idea on an empty stomach...
I think I'll go to bed now...

I'm telling you.... if you want to quit, cold turkey isn't likely to work very well. Especially if you go out drinking. The patch works man.... I'd try it

I did cold turkey, but I really don't think you could do that and go out drinking; the temptation would be too great...so don't feel bad. These things take time.
So when I started giving up I got lots of food in, some DVDs and my most vehemant cigarette-hating friend to stick to me like glue for an entire weekend.
Now, that worked! -grin- and by Monday I realised I didn't even want a smoke...

Mmmm...those sound good *drools*
What about ice cream and chocolate? You're going to need lots of ice cream and chocolate, I reckon - and PRINGLES, mmmmm - it's the only way to beat the cravings, I swear...

I eat lots of pringles anyway...
not too big on the ice cream and chocolate deal though... sure, they're alright, but I think that is much more of a girl thing for some reason... i fend that beef jerky helps a bit and lots and lots of spearmint chewing gum... why spearmint? I dunno... it just works...

So...you're still off the cigarettes then? -grin-

Yeah, chocolate is a girl thing...it releases endorphines which is great when you have PMT.
